| The Collectors: T.E. Lawrence | |
| T E Lawrence, famous as "Lawrence of Arabia", whilst a schoolboy he showed a deep rooted enthusiasm for medieval brasses, pottery, decorated paving tiles and dated glass bottles. Later he added castle architecture to his interests and submitted a thesis on crusader castles, having walked some 1,100 miles through Syria, in the hottest two months of the year. This photograph was taken during the Arab Revolt. |
