- Description: Pair of octagonal bowls. Panelled sides, everted rim, flanged, brown-edged lip, decagonal foot. Shallow moulded decagon at base of panelled sides inside. Kakiemon palette. Central floret. Base and panels of wall outlined in blue and red inside with one design of flowering plant and one of phoenix forming a medallion, each repeated on opposite sides. Border of tasselled ribbons and emblems on rim. On outside, two pairs of horses separated by two clumps of chrysanthemum, cockscomb and grass. English gilt-bronze mounts in the Empire style. The rim moulded; the base gadrooned and with a descending knob, all supported by winged lion terms with paw feet on a concave triangular base.
